Job summary

Avensys Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a Network Engineer - Operations Support to maintain and enhance the organization’s network infrastructure. This hybrid role covers LAN/WAN, wireless, firewalls, routers, switches, and security compliance, with on-call support as needed.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field and hands-on experience with enterprise networks, Cisco/Aruba/Fortinet/Palo Alto platforms, and ITIL processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience supporting enterprise network environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, VPN, DNS, DHCP, WLAN, and firewall technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, outages, and connectivity problems.
• Perform configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Support network change, incident, problem, and capacity management processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Support vulnerability remediation, patch management, and network security compliance activities.
• Participate in on-call support and major incident management when required

The Network Engineer - Operations Support is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and supporting the organization's network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security. The role provides operational support for LAN, WAN, wireless, firewalls, routers, switches, and network-related services while ensuring compliance with service levels and operational procedures.
