Job summary

Aussie Broadband is seeking a Network Automation Software Engineer to build end-to-end APIs across multiple channels, automate processes, and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the software lifecycle.

You will tackle performance and architectural challenges, write clean code, and contribute to special projects under the Network Automation Manager, while engaging with internal teams in a remote work setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience (5 years) in Golang development building production grade applications.
• Experience with containerised solutions and distributed systems.
• Practical understanding of the Golang Toolchain and OpenAPI/OpenTelemetry.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm and container tooling.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and IAM integrations.

Responsibilities

• Building end-to-end solutions and APIs used across a variety of channels (e.g. internal tools and apps, customer-facing websites and apps), utilising industry best practices and leveraging the latest technologies where possible
• Automating business processes so our staff can focus on the really important stuff
• Working closely with stakeholders, taking part in all stages of the software development life cycle
• Solving interesting performance and architectural challenges
• Writing clean, maintainable code, following best practices and adhering to coding standards
• Working on special projects as directed by the Network Automation Manager
• Communicating and coordinating with internal departments
• Attending all relevant meetings, training or information sessions conducted by Aussie Broadband
• Performing code reviews

Qualifications

• Implementing workflow tools

• Visualisation of collected metrics, logs and tracing
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm concepts
• Familiarity with Networking concepts, DNS, DHCP, TACACS, RADIUS
• Familiarity with configuring Cisco IOS-XR
• Integration with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
• Strong communication skills
• You thrive in a remote environment and can operate independently
