Job summary

The Payments Network of the Philippines is seeking a Network Administrator/Engineer to install, configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure for 24/7 operations in a demanding financial services environment.

You will manage LAN/WAN, VPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, firewalls, IP addressing, and incident response, while documenting diagrams and coordinating with IT and security teams to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/CE or related field.
• 3+ years in Network Administration/Engineering, 24/7 environments preferred.
• Strong fundamentals in LAN/WAN, VPN/IPsec, routing, switching.
• Experience with firewalls, MPLS/SD-WAN, and network monitoring.
• Excellent documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

• Responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and stable 24/7 operations.
• Supports day-to-day network operations covering LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, SD-WAN, IP addressing, DHCP, MPLS, IPSEC, and routing protocols.
• Handles network incidents, service requests, system changes, preventive maintenance, and performance monitoring in accordance with defined SLAs.
• Implements network security controls including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls, while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory security standards.
• Supports disaster recovery, business continuity, network redundancy, failover testing, and incident response for critical network assets.
• Maintains accurate network diagrams, configurations, change records, incident reports, and performance documentation.
• Coordinates with system administrators, security teams, vendors, service providers, and other internal teams for network-related projects and operational support.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in Network Administration / Network Engineering, preferably supporting mission‑critical systems in a 24/7 environment.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of:
• LAN / WAN
• VPN / IPSEC
• Routing and switching
• Wireless networks
• Firewalls and access controls
• MPLS / SD-WAN
• Network monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experience handling network incidents, tickets, changes, and service requests with strong SLA discipline.
• Strong documentation, problem‑solving, stakeholder coordination, and attention to detail.

HIGHLY PREFERRED

• Experience supporting mission‑critical 24/7 network environments, preferably within banking, financial services, payments, or transaction‑processing organizations.
• Exposure to payment or switch operations.
• Familiarity with regulatory/security requirements such as BSP, PCI‑DSS, and MBSS.
• Relevant certifications or equivalent experience in CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA Network+, CISSP, or related network/security certifications.
• Experience in disaster recovery, network redundancy/failover, security audits, and compliance remediation.
