Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a Network Administrator to manage and enhance the bank’s enterprise network and telecommunications infrastructure. You will design, implement, and maintain network solutions while advising IT and business stakeholders.

The role calls for 3–5 years of experience in network administration, with strong routing, switching, WAN/LAN, wireless networking, and network security skills. You will troubleshoot, monitor performance, and coordinate with vendors to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in network administration, network infrastructure support, or telecommunications management.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, WAN/LAN, wireless networking, and network security.
• Experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and monitoring enterprise network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with capacity planning, performance management, and infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Experience working with vendors, service providers, and external partners.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or similar certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Install, administer, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
• Ensure the availability, performance, reliability, and security of network services.
• Provide technical support, advisory services, and Level 2 incident resolution for network-related issues.
• Investigate infrastructure problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with vendors, solution providers, and telecommunications partners on support, maintenance, and enhancements.
• Monitor network health, performance, and capacity, and provide regular reporting and recommendations.
• Perform system maintenance, tuning, preventive maintenance, backups, and housekeeping activities.
• Maintain accurate and secure network infrastructure documentation.
• Research and recommend network, security, monitoring, and automation improvements to enhance operational efficiency and infrastructure resilience.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to team members.
• Perform capacity planning and forecasting to support infrastructure growth and business requirements.
• Perform other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
