Job summary

Asticom Technology Inc is seeking a Network Engineer to support telecommunications network implementation, monitoring, engineering, and transport operations. The role will manage project delivery, network assessments, troubleshooting, and detailed technical documentation.

You will coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to meet requirements and timelines, perform network configuration, route checking, IP addressing, VLANs, and capacity management, and produce MOPs and service orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Telecommunications or Network Engineering.
• Knowledge of Transport and Core Network implementation and monitoring.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and common NMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely implementation and delivery of assigned project deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project scope, schedules, plans, trackers, and status reports.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements and timelines are met.
• Monitor project accomplishments and provide regular progress updates.
• Conduct network engineering and transport assessments, including site surveys and remote assessments.
• Perform network configuration, engineering solutioning, route checking, connectivity troubleshooting, and solution validation.
• Support IP, port, and VLAN allocation and network capacity management activities.
• Create and maintain Methods of Procedure (MOP), Work Orders, Service Orders, and other technical documentation.
• Monitor network health, link utilization, capacity, and other performance indicators.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and other project stakeholders to resolve technical concerns.

About you

• 1–3 years of experience in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Transport and Core Network implementation and monitoring.
• Experience with network monitoring/system support tools such as Citrix, ECI-VNC, NOKIA-NFMP, Mongoose, Tellabs-INMP, or similar NMS platforms.
• Knowledge of routers and switches.
• Knowledge of network configuration, connectivity troubleshooting, IP addressing, ports, VLANs, and network capacity management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic office applications.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple technical and project-related tasks.
