Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking an IT Specialist to manage and secure the company’s network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and performance across multiple sites. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the network while coordinating with IT and business teams to meet security and compliance standards.

The role requires 4–6 years in network administration, strong English communication, and willingness to work flexible shifts, including holidays, to keep our global networks operating

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of network administration experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Dependability to be at work during assigned shifts.
  • Experience documenting procedures.
  • Proven experience managing cross-brand network equipment at scale (minimum 2,000 endpoints).
  • Shifting schedules and holiday shifts.

IT Specialist | Network Infrastructure Group

Reports To: IT Manager/Supervisor | Network Infrastructure Group

Department: Information Technology and Infrastructure and Services Group

Location: Eastwood, Ortigas, Bay Area, BGC, Cebu

Position Purpose: Implements and adheres to the latest IT network practices and standards. The IT Network Administrator aims to create a secure, stable, and high‑performance network environment for the business.

Main Activities and Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure for all company endpoints
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and CIS standards
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
  • Implement security measures and best practices to safeguard the network
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize network resources

  • Complete all necessary training and compliance requirements and pursue professional development opportunities

  • Network configuration: proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls and access points
  • Network security: awareness of best practices, firewall management, intrusion detection and prevention, encryption, and protection against threats and attacks
  • Troubleshooting and problem resolution: diagnosing and resolving connectivity problems, latency and outages
  • Network monitoring: monitoring performance, traffic patterns and device health, responding to alerts and anomalies in real time
  • Network design and planning: knowledge of design principles and planning to meet business requirements
  • Network protocols: understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN protocols
  • Documentation and compliance: maintaining detailed documentation of configurations, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards

Qualifications and Typical Experience
  • 4–6 years of network administration experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Dependability to be at work during assigned shifts and complete work as expected
  • Collaboration in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment, following instructions from supervisors and senior colleagues
  • Proven experience managing cross‑brand network equipment at scale (minimum 2,000 endpoints)
  • Experience documenting procedures
  • A Cisco certification such as CCNA is desirable
