Manila Central University is seeking a Network Administrator responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the university’s network infrastructure. The Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the university’s network infrastructure. This role ensures that all campus networks—including wired, wireless, and virtual private networks—operate efficiently, securely, and reliably to support academic, administrative, and research activities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration, preferably in an educational institution
License: Preferably with CCNA or CCNP or other related certifications
Administer and maintain network switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and servers.
Strong knowledge of IP networking, routing, switching, VLAN, WAN, LAN, VPN, and network security.
Experience with pfSense, Ruijie devices, load balancers, and virtualization technologies is an advantage.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and system issues.
Understanding of network architecture, High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), bandwidth design, and traffic management.
Maintain network documentation, diagrams, policies, and procedures for deployed systems.
Coordinate with third-party vendors and provide on-call technical support.
