ASCENSION PHILDEVELOPERS INC. is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician in the Philippines to perform routine and preventive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
You will inspect, repair, and troubleshoot facilities while coordinating with external vendors and ensuring safety standards are met. The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience and the ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
Position Overview:
The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation, safety, and functionality of buildings and facilities. This includes work on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, structural repairs, and other facility-related equipment and infrastructure.
Perform general maintenance and repair of building structures and mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues related to safety, functionality, or appearance.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency calls.
Install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and fixtures to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain building systems, including lighting, air conditioning, water supply, sewage treatment plan, fire safety systems, and elevators.
Monitor and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and logs.
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors when specialized services are required to ensure quality of work meets company standards necessary for repair and maintenance works.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of mechanical rooms, workspaces, and common facility areas.
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and company policies.
Assist with relocation, setup, or rearrangement of furniture, equipment, and workstations as needed.
College graduate or technical/vocational certificate in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in building/facility maintenance of constructions such as office buildings, condominiums, commercial complex or industrial facilities.
Strong technical knowledge and hands on experience in the maintenance of the building such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and work from written or verbal instructions.
Skilled in using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Understanding of workplace safety practices and building code compliance.
Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Physically fit and able to lift, climb, and perform manual labor.
TESDA or similar technical certification in Building Maintenance, Electrical Installation, Plumbing, or Refrigeration.
Basic knowledge of building automation and control systems.
Experience in commercial or industrial building environments.
