Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced MQ-9 CLS Technician to support U.S. military aviation programs from Manila. The role focuses on troubleshooting aircraft avionics and Ground Control Station systems, applying advanced electronics knowledge to maintain operational readiness.

Responsibilities include maintenance of generators, test instrumentation, and logs, plus providing guidance to junior technicians and signing off on work when qualified. Travel to CONUS/OCONUS deployments may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Secret US Government clearance with ability to obtain Top-Secret.
• High School Diploma or completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.
• Minimum of five years of actual Aircraft Avionics and Ground Control Station (GCS) maintenance experience.
• Minimum of two years’ actual experience on MQ-9 aircraft and GCS, as an Avionics Technician.
• Advanced knowledge of basic and complex electronics maintenance and repair.
• Advanced knowledge of RFF systems, components, and accessories.
• Advanced knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft electronics maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and data tables.
• Must be eligible to gain and maintain IAT Level II certifications (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, Security+ CE, SSCP, or GSEC) within 90 days of hire or before deployment.
• Must be able to lift, carry and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.
• Must be able to travel on CONUS/OCONUS deployments.

Responsibilities

• Must maintain assigned UAS aircraft electrical generators, load banks, starters, relays, batteries, actuators, circuit breakers, switches, and aircraft instruments.
• Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems beyond manufacturer manuals.
• Understand interrelationships of circuits and perform analyses with complex test equipment.
• Prioritize workload to meet Daily Flight Schedule.
• Sign off work in NALCOMIS/OOMA or IMDS and provide guidance to lower-level technicians.
• Provide training to junior avionic technicians and lead changes in aircraft modifications.
• Lead and mentor technicians during maintenance tasks and inspections.
