Job summary

Bigmate Philippines, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical/Industrial Engineer to maintain and optimize plastic injection molds and molding equipment.

You will lead preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mold issues, and align process parameters to deliver consistent product quality. Responsibilities include mold trials, process validation, data analysis, and collaboration with Production and Quality Control to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or a related technical course.
• Experience in plastic injection molding, mold maintenance, or process engineering.
• Knowledge of injection molding machine operation and mold structures.
• Familiar with molding parameters and quality improvement techniques.
• Skilled in preventive maintenance and process optimization.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently or in a team.
• Willing to work on a shifting schedule and render overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of molds and injection molding machines.
• Inspect, clean, repair, and troubleshoot molds for optimal performance.
• Set up, adjust, and optimize injection molding parameters like temperature, pressure, and cycle time.
• Troubleshoot molding defects such as short shots, flash, and warpage.
• Conduct mold trials, machine setup, and process validation for new or existing molds.
• Analyze production problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor mold and machine performance to minimize downtime and boost productivity.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, and other departments to resolve issues.
• Maintain mold maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and workplace safety requirements.
