Job summary

Zamboanga Nickel Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a Mining Engineer to join our operations team. You will oversee development and completion of projects, organize tasks to meet targets, and maximize equipment utilization while maintaining safety standards at the mine site.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mining Engineering, is proficient in Word and Excel, and can work in dusty environments with trucks.

Qualifications

• BS Mining Engineering is required.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Must be able to work in an atmosphere with dust and fumes from trucks.

Responsibilities

• Integral member of the operations team overseeing development and completion of the project
• Organize, monitor and prioritize tasks to meet targets
• Maximize utilization and cost-effectiveness of equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety and professional standards within the mine site
• Conduct regular toolbox meetings/peptalks with the team to detect and resolve operational, safety and personnel problems
• Maintain records of daily activities
• Perform any additional duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
