Job summary

Cobden & Carter International is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance across fixed plant, mobile crushing units and site infrastructure. The role focuses on maximizing equipment reliability and minimizing downtime through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.

You will oversee Mechanical, Electrical, Warehouse and Projects, manage budgets and procurement, and mentor a high-performing team while upholding safety standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent trade qualification.
• 10+ years in heavy industry (mining/plant) with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in fixed plant (crushers/conveyors) and mobile equipment fleets.
• Advanced CMMS experience (SAP/Maximo) and RCM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute maintenance strategies and schedules aligned with production goals.
• Oversee Mechanical, Electrical, Warehouse and Projects maintenance functions.
• Manage maintenance budget, costs, spare parts and procurement.
• Ensure equipment availability, reliability and safe operation.
• Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Manage contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance services.
• Recruit, train and mentor a high-performing maintenance team.
