Job summary

Good Neighbors International Phils. Branch Inc. seeks a Microfinance Field Assistant to support diesel/generator operation, cold storage, and reliable power in El Nido, Palawan.

You will help develop social economy programs, identify savings groups for loans, analyze applications, and organize a field team while building community partnerships and ensuring accountability tools are in place.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Refrigeration or related technical field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship or Microfinance.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant field experience.
• Work experience in an International NGO is an advantage.
• Strong loan processing, collection of payment and savings mobilization.
• Ability to conduct basic training for group strengthening.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the strategic development of social economy programs with regular reporting to the head office.
• Conduct meetings to identify savings groups/IGGs and cooperatives for loan access.
• Lead in analyzing loan applications to determine feasibility of loans.
• Manage delivery of sustainable microfinance programs.
• Organize an active team for efficient microfinance service delivery in the area of operation.
• Keep updated with market conditions and provide timely feedback to management.
• Build and sustain a strong base of community partners for mobilization.
• Ensure accountability via systems and monitoring tools.
• Strengthen groups as informal or registered associations.
• Support integrated community development programs of GNI Philippines.
• Identify partnerships with organizations, training institutions for small business development and inclusive approaches.
• Submit monthly updates and financial reports to GN SDMI staff.
• Monitor cooperative development and microfinance activities regularly.
• Consolidate loan information and documents of groups/Coop.
• Establish partnerships with POs, NGOs and stakeholders.
• Lead project implementation related to social enterprise and cooperatives.
• Coordinate with Field Manager on the project area.
• Carry other duties as directed by management.
