Job summary

Northern Trust's Manila office is seeking a seasoned leader to drive performance management, staff development, and cross‑functional programs within our wealth management and services teams.

You will organize work priorities, mentor staff, and ensure KPIs align with Service Level Documents, while collaborating with senior management to deliver measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Conduces performance management, career development processes, provides input for staffing and disciplinary actions and delivers hands-on training to staff.
• Develops periodic goals, organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors activities, and ensures timely completion of tasks.
• Carries out medium-to-large, cross-functional and technically difficult initiatives.
• Spearheads development, implementation and administration of programs within functional areas.
• Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and internal business impact.
• Interacts with committees and senior management.
• Manages daily operational activities and supervises day-to-day work, mentoring junior staff.
• Maintains the team’s KPIs as per Service Level Documents.
• Facilitates discussions and reaches decisions.
• Creates, maintains and updates procedural/process documents.

Major Duties :

• 1. Conducts performance management and career development processes, provides input for staffing and disciplinary actions and provides hands‑on training to staff
• 2. Develops periodic goals, organizes the work, sets short‑term priorities, monitors all activities, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work
• 3. Carries out activities that are medium‑to‑large in scope, cross‑functional and technically difficult
• 4. Spearhead the development, implementation and administration of programs within functional areas
• 5. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
• 6. Have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
• 7. Manage daily operational activities and supervise day‑to‑day work and to act as a mentor to other junior level employees
• 8. Responsible for maintaining the team’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as per the agreed Service Level Documents (SLD).
• 9. Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions
• 10. Create, maintain and update procedural/process documents

Knowledge :

• Leadership assertiveness and organizational skills are needed to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Functional / Industry Knowledge is required.
• Analytical and problem solving skills are preferred
• Technical skills are required.

Experience :

• A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is preferred.
• Related Industry qualification / or studying towards, is preferred
