Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation in the Philippines is seeking an MFG & PROCESS DVL ENGINEER II - Molding to advance molding processes from concept through high-volume production.

You will lead troubleshooting, process development, and tooling design while coordinating with stamping, plating, and assembly teams to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and on-time launches. Strong PLCs with DOE and DFM knowledge are essential to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mold design, process, and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong knowledge of tool fabrication, tool-steel selection, heat treating, and plating/coating.

Responsibilities

• Develop molding processes and coordinate with stamping, plating, and assembly for optimal cost and yield.
• Lead design and proofing for molding processes and tooling; perform DOE.
• Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting from low-volume to high-volume manufacturing.
• Platform manufacturing process development and drive cost reductions through design and process optimization.

Job Overview

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overall molding process development, coordinating with interaction processes (Stamping, Plating, Assembly) to ensure the best process and cost for F/Gs
• Concept design & proofing for Molding process and tooling, Process development DOE.
• Technical leader and trouble shooter from LVM to HVM in process development, tooling design & qualification, issue finding, and problem solving
• Platforming manufacturing process development.
• Challenge product design for manufacturability and cost feasibility.
• Launch product at rate through FACA/QCPA tools (yield, CPK, OEE…)
• Launch product on time with a cross-functional team.
• Process documentation (DFM， FMEAs, WI, FACA/QCPC…

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical engineering or related background.
• 5+ years of Mold design, Process, and Troubleshooting knowledge/experience
• Strong knowledge of tool fabrication, tool-steel application/selection, heat treating, and plating/coating.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes (Injection, Insert-molding, two-shot, etc.).
• Strong understanding of plastic, injection machine, auxiliary equipment (strip feed, camera, etc).
• Good at Mold flow simulation and analysis.
• Familiar with the BTI 5-Step process, and Knowledge of SIM (Scientific Injection Molding).
• Understand tolerance calculations and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Data-oriented issue finding and problem-solving skills.
• Rich shopfloor hands-on experience.
• Sensitive to product cost, know how to drive cost through manufacturing process development & design optimization.
• Fluent in using basic process development related tools like DFM, PFMEA， DOE， FAA, CTAR， CAD， Pro E
• Knowledge of quality control, quality issue analysis, and improvement
• Good teamwork and communication skills。
• Fluent in written and Spoken English.
• Overseas working experience is a plus

Job Requirements

• Developing production improvement goals; recommending suggestions for improvements to management.
• Evaluating unfinished products and components; recommends quality and production improvements.
• Analyzing statistics related to production efficiency, safety measures, and resource usage; research on effective ways of research with regards to cost saving.
• Designing and evaluates plans for implementing manufacturing equipment, technology and resources to meet goals.

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field or local equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible professional level experience
