About the role Pricon Microelectronics Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Molding Engineer to join our Process Engineering team on a full-time basis at our facility in Malvar, Batangas. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and efficiency of our microelectronic component manufacturing processes. As a Molding Engineer, you will play a vital role in optimizing our plastic molding operations, troubleshooting technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact our product quality and production efficiency.
Key responsibilities
Responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgement in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of machine maintenance techniques, procedures and criteria
Devise new approaches to machine problems and monitor die-set compliance to standard specification of products.
Troubleshoot molding equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve technical problems
Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization
Perform quality control inspections and implement corrective actions to ensure products meet customer specifications
Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions and standard operating procedures
Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to ensure workplace safety and equipment reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance and supply chain to support manufacturing goals
What we're looking for
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in process engineering or molding operations within the electronics manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, equipment and materials
Proficiency in process optimization techniques and statistical analysis methods such as DOE (Design of Experiments)
Experience with quality management systems and familiarity with ISO 9001 or equivalent standards
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Proficiency in using engineering software and CAD tools
