Job summary

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in Mexico City seeks a market-oriented Property Underwriter to support profitable growth of the Corporate Solutions portfolio in Mexico. You will develop broker and client relationships, source new business opportunities, and deliver tailored insurance solutions while balancing technical assessment with commercial objectives.

You will contribute to a strong Mexican market presence, leveraging a broad product offering and insights to drive sustainable portfolio

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience within the insurance industry.
• Solid Property underwriting experience in the Mexican market.
• Strong and established network within the Mexican Property insurance market, with demonstrated experience managing broker relationships and originating new business opportunities.
• Proven ability to develop business opportunities and manage commercial relationships.
• Good understanding of Property risk assessment, pricing and portfolio management principles.
• Experience negotiating terms, conditions and pricing with brokers and clients.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a profitable Property portfolio within the Mexican market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to generate new business and keep renewals opportunities and strengthen Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' market presence.
• Underwrite Property risks within delegated authority, balancing technical assessment with commercial objectives.
• Negotiate terms, conditions and pricing while ensuring sustainable portfolio profitability.
• Collaborate across underwriting, engineering, claims and other functions to deliver client-focused solutions.
• Promote and cross-sell the broader Swiss Re Corporate Solutions product offering.
• Leverage underwriting tools, market insights and portfolio analysis to support sound business decisions.
