Job summary

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in Mexico City seeks a market-oriented Property Underwriter to support profitable growth of the Corporate Solutions portfolio in Mexico. You will develop broker and client relationships, source new business opportunities, and deliver tailored insurance solutions while balancing technical assessment with commercial objectives.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience within the insurance industry.
• Solid Property underwriting experience in the Mexican market.
• Strong and established network within the Mexican Property insurance market, with demonstrated experience managing broker relationships and originating new business opportunities.
• Proven ability to develop business opportunities and manage commercial relationships.
• Good understanding of Property risk assessment, pricing and portfolio management principles.
• Experience negotiating terms, conditions and pricing with brokers and clients.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external audiences.

About the Role

We are looking for a market-oriented Property Underwriter to support the profitable growth of our Corporate Solutions portfolio in Mexico. This role combines strong underwriting capabilities with a highly commercial mindset, focusing on developing broker and client relationships, originating new business opportunities and delivering tailored insurance solutions.

The successful candidate will bring an established market presence and a strong network within the Mexican Property insurance sector, helping to strengthen Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' position in the market while driving sustainable portfolio growth.

About the Team

We are a diverse and collaborative team focused on delivering Property insurance solutions for corporate clients across Mexico and the Caribbean. By combining market knowledge, technical expertise and a strong client focus, we help our customers navigate risk and support the sustainable growth of our business.

In this role, you will:

You are a commercially driven underwriting professional who enjoys building relationships, developing business and creating value for clients and brokers. You combine solid Property underwriting expertise with a strong understanding of the Mexican insurance market and a proactive approach to business development.

Professional Experience

• 4-7 years of experience within the insurance industry.
• Solid Property underwriting experience in the Mexican market.
• Strong and established network within the Mexican Property insurance market, with demonstrated experience managing broker relationships and originating new business opportunities.
• Proven ability to develop business opportunities and manage commercial relationships.
• Good understanding of Property risk assessment, pricing and portfolio management principles.
• Experience negotiating terms, conditions and pricing with brokers and clients.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external audiences.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, Business, Economics or a related field preferred.
