American Express is hiring an entry-level TakeAMEX advisor in the Philippines to handle inbound inquiries from prospective merchants and assist with new merchant applications for small and unmanaged businesses. The role includes outbound outreach to colleague-referred leads and introduction of Card acceptance solutions.

This position is designed for individuals eager to learn, build customer service skills, and grow within a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year in customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or call center.
• Strong verbal communication; willing to learn.
• Basic computer skills; navigate multiple systems.
• Attention to detail; follow defined processes.
• Strong organizational and time management for deadlines.
• Structured, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Financial services or payments experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from prospective merchants and provide basic information on card acceptance products and services
• Assist merchants with completing applications, ensuring required information is captured accurately
• Conduct outbound calls to colleague-referred leads using scripts
• Deliver a positive and professional customer experience in every interaction
• Accurately document customer interactions in internal systems
• Escalate complex issues per SOPs
• Meet established performance goals for call quality and productivity
• Participate in training and coaching sessions to build knowledge of industry rates, systems, and processes
