About the Role:

The Merchandising Manager develops and executes merchandising strategies thatdrive revenue, increase inventory turnover, and enhance the overall shoppingexperience. This role sits at the intersection of buying, inventory management, andin-store marketing, requiring collaboration with vendors, store operations, and corporateleadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Assortment Management
  • Develop and implement assortment & pricing strategies to achieve salesand marginal targets.
  • Collaborate with suppliers for managing SKU performance activities.
• Trade Management
  • Develop and implement trade marketing strategies to achieve sales andmargin targets.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to execute marketing plans, promotions, and/orinitiatives.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Monitoring sales performance, tracking KPIs, and optimizing promotionalactivities.
  • Manage trade marketing budget and ensure cost-effective spending.
• Margins Management
  • Develop and implement marginal strategies to achieve sales and marginaltargets.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with assigned suppliers about thepartnership, scorecard and SKU performance.
• Monitor Trends - Stay ahead of shifts in consumer behavior (e.g., growingdemand for organic, plant-based, or locally sourced products).
• Competitive Pricing: Establish retail pricing strategies that maintain acompetitive edge while protecting profit margins.
• Data Analysis: Review sales data and margin reports to assess thefinancial performance of promotions.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in pricing, sales analysis, and strategy, preferably in the grocery, supermarket, and retail industries.
• Strong analytical and data-driven and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present recommendations to senior leadership
• Thorough understanding of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and competitive analysis
• Excellent negotiation skills, and ability to negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and business partners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs
