Company Overview:

We are a dynamic team expanding our brand presence across Asia. We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Merchandising Executive to support the end-to-end development of licensed merchandise and drive product strategies in the region.

Role Summary:

The Merchandising Executive will support the full lifecycle of licensed merchandise development across Asia. This role works closely with external manufacturing partners to develop new products, manages internal product approval processes, and drives commercial decision-making by evaluating product profitability, pricing, and market potential. The ideal candidate is structured, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and comfortable working with data-driven models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the end-to-end development of new merchandise with external manufacturing partners and licensees across Asia.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure seamless execution throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Oversee internal product approval and supervision processes in alignment with relevant stakeholders.
  • Evaluate product pricing, profitability, and business feasibility using established financial models.
  • Assist in preparing sales forecasts and demand estimations for new products in collaboration with internal teams and OEM partners.
  • Support merchandising strategies by monitoring product performance, consumer trends, and market dynamics.
  • Prepare clear reports and presentation materials for management review.
Requirements:
  • Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese (written and spoken) to liaise effectively with Japanese-speaking manufacturing partners, licensors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint within a professional business environment.
  • Proven experience in project management, including timeline tracking and stakeholder coordination.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple product lines and tight deadlines concurrently.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in merchandising, consumer products, licensing, or FMCG sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with or support of E-Commerce operations (e.g., Shopee, Lazada, Amazon, Shopify).
  • Familiarity with product planning, sourcing, or OEM manufacturing processes.
