Job summary

The Medical City Clinic SM FTI is seeking a Medical Technologist to join the team and lead the next level of patient care. The role carries out laboratory tests, prepares results, and assists in the comprehensive clinical workflow within the SM FTI facility.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology with a valid PRC License (Registered Medical Technologist) and may have at least three months of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology is required.
• Valid PRC License (Registered Medical Technologist).
• Preferably with at least 3 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Explains laboratory procedures to patients.
• Checks specimens for condition and test eligibility.
• Ensures safety and comfort of patients during blood collection.
• Examines collected specimens and identifies abnormalities.
• Ensures accuracy of test results.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements mandated by DOH.
• Documents patient data through charting.
• Monitors inventory and ensures availability of medical supplies.
• Submits census report every month.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Job description

The Medical City Clinic is searching for a Medical Technologist in SM FTI to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is responsible for carrying out laboratory tests and procedures and prepares necessary results.

This role reports directly to the Clinic Manager of TMC Clinic SM FTI.

What’s The Role All About?

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Explains laboratory procedures to patients
• Checks specimens or samples as to their condition, acceptability, and appropriateness to the test
• Ensures safety and comfort of patients before and after collecting blood samples
• Examines collected specimens or samples and identify any abnormalities
• Ensures accuracy of test results
• Adheres to regulatory requirements mandated by DOH
• Documents data of patients through charting
• Monitors inventory and ensures availability of related medical supplies
• Submits census report every month
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Who Are We Looking For?

An effective Medical Technologist must possess the following skills:

• Ideally, a candidate must be at least a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, with a valid PRC License (Registered Medical Technologist), preferably with at least three (3) months experience as a Medical Technologist.
