Ensures traceability of all specimen collected in the laboratory
Performs all required examinations such as the following:
Ensures that tests are being done with accuracy and efficiency.
Strictly observes standard set on aseptic technique and universal precaution.
Ensures a timely reporting of results and that results are correct and accurate.
Strictly adheres to maintaining confidentiality of all laboratory results
Actively participate in the management of patient by coordinating with attending physicians on significant finding
Coordinate with Admin Assistant/ clinic manager regarding government’s requirements such as licenses, special staff training/updated standard etc.
Secures consent for special test needed or as required by law, eg. HIV test.
Participates in a monthly staff development program
Submits required reports to clinic Officer/QA Manager.
Performs other related tasks assigned by the Senior Medical Technologist/Clinic Officer from time to time.
