Job summary

Vector Outsourcing Solutions Philippines is hiring for a remote Medical Billing/Collections role based in the Philippines. The position focuses on AR management, timely claim processing, denials handling, patient statements, and payment collections across US accounts.

A 6-month consultancy is acceptable, with fully remote work and provided equipment. Requirements include at least 1 year in a BPO/call center and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of BPO/call center experience.
• Experience with phone collections on US accounts is a plus.
• Medical billing or medical collections experience is a bonus.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Willing to commit to a consultancy contract of at least 6 months.
• Able to work from home with reliable internet and backup connection.

Responsibilities

• Track and manage accounts receivable to keep aging within target levels.
• Regularly check submitted claims for timely processing and payment.
• Resubmit claims for appeal to resolve issues delaying payment.
• Prepare and send patient statements promptly and accurately.
• Make collection calls to address outstanding balances and negotiate arrangements.
• Respond to inquiries from patients and payers via email/phone with clear information.
• Accept phone payments and ensure accurate processing and records.
• Monitor denial trends and provide timely resolutions.
• Handle complex denials and appeals as needed.
• Apply diverse collection strategies to maximize reimbursements.
• Follow team/client procedures, policies, and methodologies.

Salary: PHP 35,000- PHP 40,000/ month

Job Description:

• Track and manage accounts receivable, ensuring aging amounts remain within targeted levels.
• Regularly check the status of submitted claims to ensure timely processing and payment.
• Resubmit claims for appeal as necessary, working to resolve any issues that may delay payment.
• Prepare and send out patient statements in a timely and accurate manner.
• Conduct patient collection phone calls, professionally addressing outstanding balances and negotiating payment arrangements.
• Respond to patient and payer's email and phone inquiries regarding their accounts, providing clear and helpful information.
• Accept phone payments from patients, ensuring accurate processing and record-keeping.
• Monitor Denial Trends and provide timely and accurate resolutions
• Handle complex denials and appeals
• Utilize different collection strategies to achieve optimum reimbursement on delinquent accounts.
• Follow team and/or clients proper procedures, policies, and methodologies as instructed.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in a BPO or Call Center environment.
• Experience with phone collections, particularly on US accounts, is desirable but not required.
• Previous experience in Medical Billing or Medical Collections is a plus but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of the US healthcare system, including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, and contracted networks, is highly beneficial.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Open to consultancy contract minimum of 6 months
• Able to work from home with reliable internet and a backup connection.
