Job summary

Frontier Ortigas Hotel and Resort Corporation in Pasig is seeking a Mechanical Technician to operate, maintain and monitor hotel utilities and major equipment. You will work under the Engineering Department to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted facility operations.

The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, record keeping, and coordinating with contractors and guest services while upholding safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma, NC II or equivalent certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or related field.
• At least 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in a 5-star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, chillers, generators, pumps, plumbing, and building systems.
• Skilled in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and commitment to delivering exceptional guest service standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, operates, and maintains mechanical, electrical, and utility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of hotel facilities and equipment.
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoots equipment issues, and executes repair work orders in accordance with engineering standards and safety procedures.
• Maintains accurate operational records, equipment performance logs, maintenance reports, and utility consumption data to support effective facility management.
• Coordinates engineering responses to operational issues, emergencies, contractor activities, and guest service requests while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Supports asset management through spare parts planning, inventory monitoring, vehicle maintenance oversight, cost-saving initiatives, and energy conservation programs.
