Job summary

Crown Regency Hotels & Resorts seeks a Mechanical Engineer to oversee operation, maintenance, and improvement of hotel mechanical systems. You will troubleshoot HVAC, chillers, pumps, boilers, and related equipment.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, PRC license, and 2–3 years in facilities management or hospitality, with strong problem-solving and communication skills. Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergencies is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • PRC-licensed Mechanical Engineer preferred or required depending on position.
  • 2–3 years in mechanical engineering, maintenance, or facilities management.
  • Hotel, resort, commercial building, or facilities experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, pumps, boilers, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation.
  • Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs when required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain hotel mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, chillers, pumps, boilers, compressors, generators, and related systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and identify potential equipment problems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor energy and utility consumption and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare maintenance reports, inspection records, and equipment documentation.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for repairs, servicing, and installations.
  • Assist in engineering projects, renovations, and equipment upgrades.

About the role
