Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Manager to lead our mechanical maintenance operations in a heavy manufacturing setting. You will oversee engineering teams, drive reliability, and set asset management standards across the plant.
The role requires a hands-on leader with 10 years of experience, a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, and a licensed Mechanical Engineer; PME is preferred. You will champion safety, manage the budget, and mentor technicians.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mechanical Maintenance Manager to lead and direct our mechanical maintenance operations. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee mechanical engineering teams, drive continuous operational reliability, and maximize plant equipment efficiency. You will be responsible for setting high standards in asset management, maintenance strategy, and team leadership within a fast-paced, heavy manufacturing environment.
Operational Leadership: Direct and oversee the overall performance of the mechanical maintenance division.
Maintenance Strategy & Reliability: Develop, plan, and execute comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize machinery uptime and reliability across all plant assets.
Asset & Spares Management: Identify critical equipment spares, optimize inventory management, and oversee the repair and lifecycle management of heavy mechanical components.
Execution & Accountability: Lead day-to-day work execution, workload allocation, and performance accountability for mechanical supervisors and engineering technicians.
Failure Analysis & Technical Standards: Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on critical machinery; maintain and enforce rigorous mechanical standards and systems.
Budgetary Control: Manage the mechanical department's operational budget, track expenditures, and drive cost-efficiency initiatives.
Team Development & Values: Provide mentorship, coaching, and technical training to the team in alignment with core corporate values and operational goals.
Education & Credentials:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Must be a Licensed / Registered Mechanical Engineer.
Status as a Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) is preferred.
Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance execution within a heavy manufacturing, processing, or continuous-production facility.
Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in industrial mechanical systems, complex troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and heavy machine shop operations.
Leadership & Mindset: Proven track record in team management, open-minded leadership style, and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
EHS & Safety Leadership: High level of safety awareness and strict enforcement of EHS protocols, particularly regarding heavy load handling, hot works, and elevated work environments.
