The Mechanical / Electrical - Field Engineer at Aboitiz Construction, Inc. will plan, supervise, and coordinate installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems at the power plant to maximize reliability and availability.
You will lead maintenance personnel, ensure compliance with HSE standards, review work orders, and support shutdowns and commissioning as required.
The Mechanical / Electrical - Field Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems within the power plant. The role ensures that all maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements to maximize equipment reliability and plant availability.
Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical maintenance activities for power plant equipment.
Plan preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability.
Lead and monitor maintenance personnel and contractors during mechanical works.
Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company safety procedures.
Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of mechanical equipment failures.
Review work orders, maintenance reports, and equipment history to optimize maintenance performance.
Coordinate with operations, engineering, and other departments to minimize equipment downtime.
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
Monitor work quality and ensure maintenance activities comply with engineering standards and manufacturer recommendations.
Prepare technical reports, maintenance documentation, and performance records.
Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to maintenance personnel.
Participate in shutdowns, overhauls, and commissioning activities as required.
Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
With safety training/certification.
Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
Good leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an advantage.
