Job summary

Your Employee Offshore ( Yempo ) Inc. is seeking a Mechanical CAD Design Engineer to join the team working with an England-based client on energy-efficient HVAC solutions. The role offers a choice between home-based or office work environments.

You will create AutoCAD drawings (2D, with occasional 3D in Revit/SketchUp), review sketches, and ensure designs meet project standards while collaborating with the design team and ISMS requirements. Proficiency in CAD tools and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD design software and drawing programs.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend online meetings with the design team.
• Review and interpret design sketches and notes.
• Create plant/ductwork layouts based on sketches; 2D in AutoCAD, 3D in Revit/SketchUp.
• Produce planning drawings with external/internal service routes and equipment locations.
• Incorporate design team feedback and maintain company drawing standards.
• Comply with ISMS information security policies.

Our Client

In this role, you will be assigned to our England-based client. Their single focus is to provide aesthetically discreet, energy-efficient air conditioning solutions to the owners of the UK's finest homes.

Your Responsibilities

• Attend online meetings with the design team

• Review and gain understanding of design team sketches and notes

• Create plant/ductwork layouts based on sketches to develop detailed HVAC system designs, generally 2D in AutoCAD but sometimes 3D in Revit/SketchUp

• Create drawings required for planning applications, using AutoCAD, detailing external and internal service routes, penetrations, plant locations, etc.

• Take on design team feedback and ensure drawings match the company’s style.

• Comply with the Organization's Information Security Management System (ISMS), including all applicable information security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.

Your Background

• Proficiency in CAD design software and drawing programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, etc.

• CAD software experience

• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills, proficiency in the English language

• Strong project and analytical skills

Desirable Skills/Attributes: (Full training and support will be given)

• Understanding of HVAC principles, equipment and systems

• Conduct heating/cooling load calculations and select appropriate equipment for heating, cooling, and ventilation

• Mechanical engineering qualification
