• Monitoring meat quality and shelf life; removing expired or damaged products.
• Maintaining a clean, organized butchery station and complying with hygiene regulations.
• Assisting customers with product selection and providing recommendations.
• Recording inventory levels and communicating restocking needs to management.
• Weighing and labeling meat products with accurate pricing information.
• Contributing to a positive team environment during busy periods.

About the role

Paramount Human Resource Multi-Purpose Cooperative is seeking a skilled Meat Merchandiser/Butcher to join our team on a full-time basis in Carmona, Cavite. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation, processing, and presentation of quality meat products whilst maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive premium meat products and exceptional service. This position is essential to our retail operations and directly impacts customer satisfaction and sales performance.

What you'll be doing

• Cutting, trimming, and portioning meat products to meet customer specifications and company standards

• Operating and maintaining butchery equipment including meat slicers, saws, and grinders in a safe and sanitary manner

• Preparing and displaying meat products in refrigerated cases, ensuring attractive and hygienic presentation

• Monitoring meat quality and shelf life, removing expired or damaged products appropriately

• Maintaining a clean and organised butchery station, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

• Assisting customers with product selection and providing knowledgeable recommendations

• Recording inventory levels and communicating restocking requirements to management

• Complying with all health, safety, and food handling standards established by regulatory bodies

• Weighing and labelling meat products with accurate pricing information

• Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues during busy periods
