Job summary

S&R Membership Shopping in the Philippines is seeking a Meat Department Supervisor to manage the meat area operations and lead a team. You will ensure product quality, proper display, and efficient service to members.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling, coaching, coordinating with Buying and Receiving for orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and enforcing safety and sanitation standards while driving promotions and member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Food Technology, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in meat operations, fresh food, supermarket, grocery, or retail, preferably supervisory.
• Knowledge of meat handling, preparation, cutting, portioning, storage, and merchandising.
• Ability to monitor inventory, stock levels, product availability, and wastage.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills; ability to supervise, train, and motivate team members.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operation of a store's meat area.
• In charge of the employees in the department and may be responsible for training, scheduling, evaluation, coaching and completing paper works.
• Coordinating with Buying and Receiving for ordering, delivery schedules, and service level.
• Creates production plan to ensure merchandise is displayed with appropriate quantity projection.
• Maintains product quality and freshness on displays and back stock.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards and housekeeping.
• Manages member service, handles complaints, and ensures satisfaction and quality service.
• Suggests and implements sales and promotions.
• Monitors inventory and ensures actual vs system on-hand matches.
• Minimizes department expenses without compromising conditions or service.
• Coordinates with Maintenance for PMs and repairs of equipment.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
