Job summary

Essential Layer, Inc. is seeking an Inventory and Warehouse Manager to oversee stock levels, receiving, storage, and data accuracy for garments materials.

You will coordinate with Purchasing, Production, and Quality Control to ensure availability and proper flow of inventory and generate regular reports. The role requires 3+ years in garment inventory planning, a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, and strong MS Office and inventory software skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of inventory and material planning experience in garment manufacturing.
• Proficient in MS Office and inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control stock levels of raw materials, accessories, packaging, and finished goods.
• Record inventory transactions accurately in the system (manual or ERP).
• Maintain optimal levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts (monthly, quarterly, or cycle counts).
• Reconcile actual stock vs. system records and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate year-end inventory audits with accounting or external auditors.
• Supervise proper receiving of raw materials and supplies.
• Ensure materials issued to production follow approved requisitions and correct consumption rates.
• Check for damages, quantity variances, or incorrect items during receiving.
• Oversee proper storage of materials by type, batch, or lot number and maintain cleanliness.
• Implement FIFO or FEFO as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Quality Control on inventory availability and flow.
• Provide inventory data to production planners and finance for reporting.
• Prepare and submit regular stock status and inventory turnover reports.
• Maintain complete documentation of receipts, issuances, adjustments, and transfers.
• Identify process inefficiencies and support ERP upgrades and staff training.
• Lead and supervise warehouse staff; set schedules and monitor performance.
• Train staff on inventory procedures and safety protocols.

1. Inventory Management

• Oversee proper storage of materials according to type, batch, or lot number (especially for fabric and trims).

• Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expired, First Out) as appropriate.

5. Coordination with Other Departments

• Work closely with Purchasing, Production, and Quality Control to ensure inventory availability and flow.
• Update production planners on inventory status or potential supply issues.
• Support the finance team with inventory data for cost analysis or reporting.

6. Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare and submit regular reports (e.g., stock status, slow-moving items, inventory turnover).
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of receipts, issuances, adjustments, and transfers.

7. System and Process Improvement

• Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements in inventory handling.
• Assist in ERP or inventory system upgrades and ensure staff are trained.

8. Supervision and Training

• Lead and supervise warehouse/inventory staff.
• Set work schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance.
• Train staff on inventory procedures, safety protocols, and proper material handling.

9. Compliance and Safety

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards (e.g., GOTS for organic cotton).
• Enforce safety protocols for handling flammable or sensitive materials (like hypoallergenic fabric).

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science Major in Industrial Engineering or any related course.
• Has at least 3 years working experience of inventory and material planning in GARMENT Manufacturing.
• Flexible and has high attention to details.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Inventory Software, and/or other relevant software applications.
