About the role
The Market Access Manager is responsible for developing and executing market access strategies that enable the company's products to achieve appropriate, sustainable, and timely access across relevant healthcare channels in the Philippines. The role translates healthcare and financing stakeholder requirements, government and institutional access pathways, procurement, reimbursement, pricing, and healthcare-system requirements into practical commercial and access strategies, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop Market Access Strategy and Planning
- Lead in Pricing, Reimbursement and Value Strategy
- Develop and maintain a stakeholder map covering relevant government agencies, public and private institutions, healthcare and financing stakeholders, procurement organizations, hospital groups, and other access decision-makers.
- Monitor developments in Philippine healthcare policy, reimbursement, procurement, pricing, public health programs, and other developments affecting market access.
- Embed market access requirements into launch planning from early development through commercialization
- Ensure all market access activities comply with applicable Philippine laws, regulations, industry codes, company policies, and approved procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Business, Economics, Life Sciences, Health Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' sales and marketing managerial experience.
- Typically 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical market access, pricing/reimbursement, institutional business, government affairs, commercial strategy, healthcare consulting, or a related field.
- Experience in the Philippine pharmaceutical or healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally on strategic or commercial projects.
- Experience engaging institutional, payer/healthcare financing, government, procurement, or healthcare stakeholders is preferred.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial practices, healthcare systems, procurement, access dynamics, and applicable compliance requirements.
- Strong capability in market access strategy, pricing and reimbursement, healthcare landscape analysis, institutional/government access, value communication, business-case development, data analysis, project management, and executive communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant analytics/reporting tools.
