Job summary

Höegh Autoliners is seeking an Insurance & Claims Officer to manage crew-related insurance and claims from initial assessment to final resolution. You will collaborate with insurers, clubs, medical providers, port agents, and vessels to ensure timely handling and regulatory compliance.

The role requires experience in maritime claims, P&I insurance, and strong analytical and communication skills to support junior team members and improve processes.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in maritime claims or related fields.
• Experience with P&I insurance, crew welfare, or marine insurance.
• Experience coordinating with insurers, shipowners, ports, and authorities.
• Knowledge of MLC 2006, P&I rules and procedures, and maritime insurance administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage crew-related insurance and claims from assessment to final resolution.
• Coordinate with insurers, clubs, medical providers, port agents, vessels, and stakeholders.
• Review medical reports, documents, invoices to determine coverage and actions.
• Monitor claims progress for timely settlement and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare reports and analyze trends to improve processes.
• Provide guidance to junior team members.
