Job summary

Virginia Food, Inc (VFI) is seeking a General Services Manager to oversee the planning, organization, coordination and execution of the General Services Operation and Maintenance program across the plant. The role will supervise housekeeping, facilities, carpentry and painting sections, and coordinate with managers on fabrication and events setup.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, or Business-related fields, and at least two years of General Services

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting or any Business related courses.
• Two years of work experience in General Services Management preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, organization, coordination and implementation of the General Services Operation and Maintenance program.
• Ensure efficient housekeeping across the entire plant and optimal use of human and material resources.
• Manage and control Sub-standard Warehouse, Scrap Yard and Materials Recovery Facility operations.
• Supervise Carpentry and Painting Section and coordinate fabrication, carpentry and painting requests with managers.
• Provide full support for events setup and venue arrangements.
• Ensure timely provision of services by delivering stocks from Production and Sub-standard Warehouse to the Factory Outlet.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the over-all planning, organization, coordination and implementation of General Services Operation and Maintenance Program and activities.
• Manages the efficient execution of good housekeeping in the Entire Plant premises and ensure the most effective, efficient and economical utilization of human and material resources.
• Manages and controls the operation and activities of Sub-standard Warehouse, Scrap Yard and Materials Recovery Facility.
• Manages and controls the activities of Carpentry and Painting Section; coordinates with concerned Managers regarding requests for fabrication, carpentry and painting works and discussed the program of implementation with direct reports.
• Provides full support for Events Tent Set up/Pull-out Request from Events and HRD Outside trainings venue set-up and pull-out.
• Ensured timely provision of services to the factory outlet through delivering of stocks from the Production Area and Sub-standard Warehouse to the Factory Outlet.

Qualifications:

• Has at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting or any Business related courses.
• Preferably with work experience in General Services Management minimum for two years.
• Having adequate knowledge and training on occupational health and safety policies.
• Having adequate understanding in facility maintenance, repair and operations including knowledge of building systems.
• Preferably with experience and training in Solid Waste Management, Facilities and Maintenance, Administrative and Support Services.
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
