CDO Foodsphere, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Excellence Manager to drive environmental, safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement across its manufacturing operations. You will lead regulatory compliance, strengthen efficiency, and foster a proactive culture of accountability and excellence.
You will guide governance, prepare budgets, mentor a high‑performing team, and collaborate with plant operations and regulators to implement TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma initiatives.
The Manufacturing Excellence Manager is responsible for driving environmental, safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives across the company's manufacturing operations. The role ensures compliance with environmental and safety regulations, strengthens operational efficiency, and promotes a proactive culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Safety, Sustainability and Environmental Compliance - Lead and manage environmental processes, systems, procedures, and regulatory compliance programs across manufacturing plants
Continuous Improvement and Process Excellence - Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process streamlining, operational efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainability
Strategic Leadership and Governance - Develop and present Safety, and Continuous Improvement strategies to the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.
Budgeting and Financial Management - Lead the preparation, forecasting, and presentation of annual Safety, Sustainability and Continuous Improvement operating and capital budget
Leadership and Coaching - Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the Safety, Sustainability and Continuous Improvement technical. Ensures adherence to established company policies and procedures. Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team, building a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Administrative Functions - Review and writes reports, approves expenditures, enforces rules, and makes decisions about the purchase of materials or services
Licensed Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial).
At least 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, environmental management, safety, or continuous improvement roles, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, safety standards, audit systems, and compliance requirements
Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives and managing cross-functional projects
Strong leadership, communication, training, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work closely with plant operations teams and government regulatory agencies
Certified Safety Officer or equivalent environmental/safety certifications is an advantage
Certified and Demonstrated success in TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma deployment
Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills; capable of engaging with senior management and the board
