Job summary

Private Advertiser is hiring a seasoned QA professional to join our software testing team in Metro Manila. You will execute manual tests, design test cases, and report defects, ensuring coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing.

The role requires 5-7 years in QA, familiarity with JIRA/ALM, and experience in Agile or Waterfall environments. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with developers and business teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
• Basic knowledge of test case creation, execution, and defect reporting
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM)
• Exposure to functional, regression, and integration testing
• Experience working in Agile or Waterfall environments is an advantage
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts and QA processes
• Ability to design and execute test cases and test scenarios
• Proficiency in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM)
• Knowledge of functional, regression, and exploratory testing
• Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage tasks efficiently
• Basic understanding of databases and queries (SQL) is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases and test scenarios based on requirements
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
• Review requirements and ensure test coverage is complete
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and business teams to resolve issues
• Verify defect fixes through re-testing
• Prepare and maintain test documentation (test cases, reports)
• Participate in test planning and test case design
• Support UAT and release activities
• Ensure adherence to QA processes and standards
