Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Test Engineer responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of software applications. The role will involve executing manual and automated tests, identifying and documenting defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues, and supporting continuous improvement of the testing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.

• Test Documentation: Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on system requirements and specifications.

• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, system logs, and other relevant details.

• Defect Resolution: Collaborate closely with developers and other technical teams to investigate, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve identified issues.

• Bug Verification: Conduct regression and re-testing to verify that reported defects have been properly resolved and that fixes do not introduce new issues.

• Technical Testing: Perform database testing using SQL, API testing using tools such as Postman, and basic scripting or programming using Python, Java, or JavaScript.

• Problem Solving: Analyze complex technical issues and troubleshoot problems systematically to determine their root causes.

• Communication & Collaboration: Clearly communicate technical issues, test results, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of testing methodologies, processes, tools, and overall software quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test engineering is preferred.

• Knowledge of manual and/or automated testing methodologies.

• Familiarity with SQL/database testing and API testing tools such as Postman.

• Basic programming or scripting knowledge in Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar languages.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with development and cross-functional teams.
