White Cloak Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Junior QA Engineer (Manual Testing) to help ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of software applications. You will execute manual tests, document defects, and collaborate with developers and product teams in an Agile setting.

You will review requirements and create test cases, perform various testing types, and contribute to QA documentation and reporting. Fresh graduates with internship or project experience are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• 0–2 years QA/testing experience or internships welcome.
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience writing and executing test cases and test scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify potential testing scenarios.
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases and test scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira.
• Provide clear and detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce.

The Junior QA Engineer (Manual Testing) will help ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of software applications by executing manual tests, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with developers and product teams. Working within an Agile environment, the role supports continuous improvement of testing practices and contributes to delivering high-quality releases to end users.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases for web and/or mobile applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify potential testing scenarios.
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases and test scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools such as Jira.
• Provide clear and detailed bug reports, including steps to reproduce, expected results, actual results, and supporting evidence.
• Perform retesting and regression testing after bugs and enhancements have been addressed.
• Collaborate with developers and Product/Business teams to investigate and resolve issues.
• Validate application behavior across different browsers, devices, and environments when applicable.
• Assist in maintaining QA documentation, test results, and testing reports.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Continuously learn and apply QA best practices to improve testing processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or a related role (fresh graduates with relevant internship, academic, or personal project experience are welcome).
• Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Knowledge of different testing types such as functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Experience or familiarity with writing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or unexpected application behavior.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in an Agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman.
• Basic knowledge of SQL/database validation.
• Familiarity with Jira, Zephyr, or other test management tools.
• Basic understanding of UI/UX and usability testing.
• Exposure to QA automation or scripting (a plus).
• Familiarity with Jira or other issue-tracking/test management tools (advantage).
