Job summary

Alsons Power Group in the Philippines seeks a Mandarin Technical Coordinator to bridge the Owner’s Project Team with Chinese EPC contractors during solar facility construction.

The role ensures accurate interpretation of technical requirements, engineering instructions, and construction activities, while supporting project coordination and documentation to keep the project on schedule and safe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is highly preferred.
• 2–3 years of Mandarin-English interpretation or technical coordination.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience in engineering, construction, EPC, infrastructure, or renewable energy is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, coordination, documentation, and organizational skills.

The Mandarin Technical Coordinator serves as a key communication link between the Owner’s Project Team and Chinese EPC contractors during the construction of solar power facilities. The role ensures accurate understanding of technical requirements, engineering instructions, construction activities, and project expectations.

Beyond interpretation, the position supports project coordination, technical documentation, and meeting discussions, helping minimize miscommunication, delays, safety risks, and costly errors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field) is highly preferred.
• Degree in Chinese Studies, Linguistics, International Studies, Communication, or related fields may be considered with relevant technical or construction experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in Mandarin-English interpretation or technical coordination.
• Experience in engineering, construction, EPC, infrastructure, or renewable energy is an advantage.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong understanding of technical and construction terminology.
• Excellent communication, coordination, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment.
