HSBC in the Philippines is seeking an Assistant Manager - Processing (Mandarin Speaker) to support daily operations and drive efficiency. You will lead activities to ensure smooth team performance, resolve complex issues, and maintain high-quality controls across securities and cash settlements.

The role requires Mandarin language ability, knowledge of securities services, SWIFT messaging, and strong communication with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge & industry experience related to securities services operations.
• Able to read and understand SWIFT messaging.
• Aptitude for investigating and resolving complex issues and bespoke situations.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and external parties.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan and organise the team’s workload to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Take a leading role to support the Manager and ensure daily team effectiveness.
• Provide technical expertise to support colleagues as required.
• Monitor trade enrichment for securities and cash instruments and resolve exceptions.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, non-receipts and interest claims.
• Issue settlement instructions for trades to custodians within timescales.
• Address queries from clients/brokers/custodians to ensure prompt resolution.
• Maintain logs and ensure compliance with procedures and controls.
• Assist in documentation and implementation of system changes and process improvements.
• Provide cover for other administrators as needed.
