Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily store operations including opening/closing, inventory, and stocktaking.
• Support Store Manager and senior staff in supervising associates and ensuring policy compliance.

• Assist with cash handling, POS operations, and financial reconciliation.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve concerns professionally.
• Participate in staff training and development initiatives.
• Assist with promotional campaigns and store-level marketing.
• Report on store performance metrics, stock levels, and operational issues to management.
• Learn all aspects of retail operations from customer service to supply chain management.

About the role

ABest Express Inc. is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Management Trainee to join our retail and consumer products team. This is a full-time position based in our Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila location. As a Management Trainee, you will be part of a structured development programme designed to prepare you for future leadership roles within our store operations. This role is strategically important to our company as it identifies and cultivates the next generation of store managers and operational leaders who will drive our business growth and maintain our commitment to excellence in retail.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and stocktaking activities

• Support the Store Manager and senior staff in supervising store associates and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

• Monitor and maintain merchandise presentation, visual displays, and store cleanliness standards

• Assist with cash handling, point-of-sale operations, and financial reconciliation processes

• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns whilst maintaining professional standards

• Participate in staff training and development initiatives to support team member growth

• Assist with the implementation of promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives at store level

• Report on store performance metrics, stock levels, and operational issues to management

• Learn and understand all aspects of retail operations, from customer service to supply chain management

What we’re looking for

• A secondary school qualification (High School diploma) or equivalent; tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Commerce or related fields are preferred

• Strong leadership potential and the ambition to develop into a management role within 12-24 months

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage team members

• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple priorities

• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail, particularly in financial and inventory management

• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service standards

• Flexibility and willingness to work shift patterns, including weekends and holidays as required

• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and take on new responsibilities

• Previous retail, hospitality or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential

• Proficiency in English and Filipino languages; additional languages are a plus
