Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day store operations, including opening/closing.

• Monitor cleanliness, safety, and health/hygiene compliance.
• Assist with cash handling, POS operations and sales reconciliation.

About the role

ABest Express Inc. is seeking a Management Trainee to join our retail operations team in Baguio City, Benguet. This is a full-time position designed to develop the next generation of store management leaders within our organisation. As a Management Trainee, you will work under the mentorship of experienced store managers to gain comprehensive knowledge of retail operations, customer service excellence, and team leadership. This role is instrumental in preparing you for progression into store management positions and is crucial to maintaining the high standards of service and operations across our retail network.

Key responsibilities

1. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures

2. Support the store manager in inventory management, stock rotation, and merchandising activities

3. Provide exceptional customer service and address customer enquiries and concerns

4. Supervise and train junior staff members, demonstrating company policies and procedures

5. Monitor store cleanliness, safety standards, and compliance with health and hygiene regulations

6. Assist with cash handling, point-of-sale operations, and reconciliation of sales records

7. Participate in promotional activities and ensure effective product displays

8. Identify opportunities for process improvements and report feedback to store management

9. Support recruitment and onboarding activities for new team members

10. Maintain accurate documentation and administrative records as required

1. Secondary education completed; tertiary qualification in business, retail management, or a related field is preferred

2. Strong leadership potential with the ability to motivate and inspire team members

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups

5. Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently

7. Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude towards work

8. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 15 kg

9. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required

10. Prior retail or customer service experience is advantageous
