Job description

The Management Development Officer (MDO) performs a dual-purpose, project-critical role that bridges technical financial support with high-level executive governance. The MDO coordinates cross-functional project financing, supports complex corporate restructuring initiatives, and streamlines "Big Ticket" projects workstreams. By serving as a strategic liaison and Secretariat for the Office of the Chairman and Technical Working Groups (TWGs), this role ensures executive directives are accurately translated into financial representations and actionable corporate tasks within overlapping timelines.

  1. Project Finance Support

  • Financial Modeling Support: Assist in the duplication, updating, and refinement of project finance models to support project evaluation, financing preparation, and management decision-making.

  • Coordination & Deliverables: Track project finance requirements and facilitate the exchange of critical documents between internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., lenders, advisors, consultants, technical working groups).

  • Lender Relations: Support lender due diligence processes by preparing in-depth corporate and project documentation and ensuring timely follow-ups on stakeholder requests.

  1. Corporate Finance & Reporting

  • Financial Analysis: Assist in the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of corporate financial reports to support long-term financial planning and management reviews.

  • Data Monitoring & Validation: Monitor, reconcile, and validate financial data to ensure absolute accuracy and consistency across all corporate records.

  • Reporting Support: Consolidate corporate financial data summaries and perform reconciliations to support the finance leadership team.

  1. Financial Documentation & Administration

  • Records Management: Maintain organized and reliable corporate finance data, ensuring all financial models, schedules, and trackers are updated and accessible.

  • Process Improvement: Manage finance-related trackers and records, ensuring the quality and readiness of documentation for audits or financing activities.

  • Workflow Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline finance-related operational processes and improve internal tracking mechanisms.

  1. Stakeholder Coordination & Collaboration

  • Cross-functional Liaison: Work closely with technical working groups and cross-functional teams to align project financing requirements with operational activities.

  • Professional Communication: Prepare clear presentations and schedules for management, financial advisors, and external partners.

  1. Strategic Project Coordinator for TWGs

  • Milestone Monitoring: Tracks the progress of "Big Ticket" project workstreams to ensure all critical deadlines are met and aligned with the overall project timeline

  • Operational Integration: Translates high-level strategy into specific, actionable corporate tasks for the Technical Working Groups, ensuring operational activities support overall project financing goals.

  • Workflow Synchronization: Manages the intersection of overlapping timelines across different departments, identifying potential bottlenecks to maintain steady project momentum.

  1. Executive Liaison to the Chairman

  • Executive Intelligence Synthesis: Distills high-level discussions and sensitive directives from confidential meetings into precise financial representations and data-driven summaries for decision-making.

  • Confidential Information Management: Serves as the primary custodian of sensitive records for the Office of the Chairman, ensuring the highest level of discretion and integrity in handling executive communications.

  • Directives Implementation: Acts as the bridge between executive intent and organizational action by communicating the Chairman’s priorities to stakeholders and tracking the execution of high-level mandates

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

  • At least 2–3 years of relevant work experience in finance, financial analysis, project finance, corporate planning, project management, management support, or a related field.

  • Working knowledge of financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, financial reporting, and data reconciliation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with financial data, formulas, schedules, and trackers.

  • Experience in project coordination, cross-functional collaboration, and monitoring of project deliverables and timelines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial and business information and prepare clear summaries for management.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, overlapping deadlines, and time-sensitive deliverables.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive corporate, financial, and executive information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and translate management directives into actionable tasks and follow-through activities.
