GECO Asia Pte. Ltd. is initiating the Philippines Development Centre in Iloilo City.
You will lead the operational launch, overseeing recruitment, infrastructure setup, and line management to enable a high-performing technical organization. This role will drive global software delivery, insurance product support, and services from the new centre. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years leading software delivery teams, strong English communication, and a strategic but hands-on approach.

Key responsibilities
Lead the operational launch of the Philippines Development Centre, overseeing recruitment, infrastructure setup, line management, and local compliance
Build and manage a multi-disciplinary team across various workstreams, including core platform development (back end and front end in C++, C#), testing and quality assurance (manual and in-house tools), and insurance product analysis and development support
Ensure the delivery of high-quality software and services by implementing robust processes, KPIs, and quality control frameworks
Collaborate closely with UK-based leadership to align on strategy, delivery timelines, and cultural integration
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency, scalability, and engagement
About you
Completed higher education
Fluency in business English
Strong leadership skills with 5-10 years' experience in leading software development or delivery teams (10+ FTEs)
Demonstrated success in recruiting, mentoring, and retaining high-performing technical teams
Deep understanding of agile delivery, quality assurance, and cross-functional collaboration
Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills across cultures and time zones
Strategic mindset with a hands-on, "can-do" attitude
Comfortable working shift hours to overlap UK business hours
Strong technical background in software engineering, ideally with experience in Microsoft environments (desirable)
An MBA or other professional certification (desirable)
