Job summary

WalterMart Community Mall is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee building facilities and equipment, ensuring reliable operation and planning preventive maintenance. The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with registration, and favors candidates knowledgeable about mall/retail environments.

Availability on Saturdays and holidays is required. Responsibilities include coordinating with supervisors, addressing tenant needs, and supervising service contractors.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and registered engineer.
• At least 6 months of experience in building/facility management; newly licensed encouraged.
• Willing to work on Saturdays and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all store facilities and equipment are in good working condition at all times.
• Implements maintenance program focusing on planning, scheduling, preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Communicates with supervisory personnel to resolve maintenance and safety matters.
• Responds to tenant and customer needs regarding technical issues.
• Attends to lessees’ complaints or requests on maintenance services.
• Supervises contractual workers and other maintenance service contractors.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

• Ensures all store facilities and equipment of the building are in good working conditions at all times.

• Implements standard maintenance program, with the emphasis on planning/schedule and preventive/predictive maintenance.

• Communicates with supervisory personnel to discuss and resolve matters related to maintenance & safety

• Respond to tenant and customer needs regarding technical matters.

• Attends to lessees’ complaints or requests on maintenance services.

• Supervises closely all contractual agency workers and other maintenance service contractors.

• Performs other functions as may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate of BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Must be a Registered Mechanical/Electrical Engineer

• At least 6 months and up working experience in the related field specializing in building/facility management. Newly licensed are encouraged to apply.

• Must have good technical and management skills & deep understanding in mall/retail industry is a plus.

• Willing to work on Saturdays and Holidays.
