Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial construction with a strong background in leading project engineering teams.
• Proficiency in project scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera) and engineering/management tools (Procore, AutoCAD, BIM/Revit).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project engineering team, guiding site engineers and technical staff in executing complex structural and mechanical solutions.
• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, directing trade contractors, engineers, laborers, and heavy equipment operators.
• Bridge the gap between engineering design and field execution by reviewing engineering submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and technical drawings.
• Monitor project timelines and milestones, making real‑time scheduling adjustments to keep engineering and construction deliverables on track.
• Coordinate material deliveries, specialized engineering equipment, and staging areas to maintain an efficient workflow within restricted mall site limits.
• Inspect work daily alongside project engineers to ensure strict adherence to engineering specs, municipal building codes, and safety laws.
• Conduct regular site safety briefings (toolbox talks) and enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance.
• Identify structural, mechanical, or cosmetic defects early and direct corrective engineering solutions.
• Prepare site for municipal building inspections, fire safety approvals, and final occupancy certifications.
• Maintain detailed daily site logs recording progress, weather conditions, headcount, delays, and site incidents.
