Job summary

MinebeaMitsumi Philippines is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Cebu City to ensure trouble-free operation of production equipment. You will perform complex maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and execute preventive maintenance per plan, documenting resolved faults in the QRQC database to support continuous improvement and equipment reliability.

The role requires electrical engineering knowledge, certification for working with reserved electrical equipment, and openness to overseas

Qualifications

• Certificated professional competence for working with reserved electrical equipment (at least §21 c).
• Graduate of Electrical Engineering or Licensed Electrical Engineer/Master Electrician.
• Knowledge in electrical engineering and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and work with production documentation.
• Knowledge in Quality Control and Defect Analysis; SPC.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the trouble-free operation of production equipment and perform daily maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical malfunctions; conductRegular equipment inspections and fix faults.
• Record malfunctions and repairs in the system; maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in modernization of equipment to improve utilization rates (TRP, TRS, MTTR, MTBF).
• Collaborate in improving preventive maintenance methods and processes; support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with external teams during service repairs, maintenance, and equipment assembly.
• Attend work meetings, professional training, and technology updates.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician ensures the trouble-free operation of production equipment, focusing on minimizing downtime and maintaining optimal performance. This role is responsible for performing complex maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions, and executing preventive maintenance according to the established plan. By addressing issues promptly and documenting resolved faults in the QRQC database, the Maintenance Technician supports continuous improvement efforts and contributes to equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

• Ensure the trouble-free operation of production equipment.


• Perform daily maintenance and repairs on machines.


• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical malfunctions.


• Conduct regular equipment inspections and eliminate faults.


• Perform preventive maintenance according to the established plan.


• Record malfunctions and repairs in the system.

Process Improvement & Optimization

• Participate in the modernization of equipment to improve utilization rates (TRP, TRS, MTTR, MTBF).


• Collaborate in improving preventive maintenance methods and processes.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance organization.


• Identify and mitigate risks by adhering to safety standards.

Collaboration & Technical Support

• Work with external teams during service repairs, maintenance, and equipment assembly.


• Participate in resolving issues from program scrap stops and QRQC processes.


• Attend work meetings, professional training, and technology updates.


• Maintain and manage tools, instruments, and special equipment.

Documentation & Reporting

• Keep technical documentation (e.g., drawings, diagrams, and instructions) organized and up-to-date.


• Document all maintenance activities and resolved issues.


• Support audits and provide reports as required.


• Communicate updates and technical insights to relevant teams.

Job Requirements:

• Certificated professional competence for working with reserved electrical equipment, at least §21 c.


• A graduate of Electrical Engineering; or a Licensed Electrical Engineer/ Master Electrician


• Knowledge in the field of electrical engineering


• Expertise in the field of pneumatic systems


• Able to read and work with production documentation


• Knowledge in Quality Control and Defect Analysis, Technical thinking, SPC


• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities


• With proficiency in basic computer operations and documentation


• Open to job assignment overseas
