Universal Robina Corporation - Flour Division seeks a Maintenance Planner for its fleet. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring maintenance activities for the plant’s vehicles and mobile equipment to ensure availability, safety, and cost efficiency.
The candidate will work with the Fleet Manager, technicians, procurement, and other departments to minimize operational disruption and optimize maintenance workflows using CMMS and related tools.
The Maintenance Planner – Fleet is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring maintenance activities for the company's fleet of vehicles and mobile equipment. The position plays a key role in ensuring fleet availability, reliability, safety, and cost-effective maintenance through effective preventive and corrective maintenance planning, work order management, resource coordination, and disciplined utilization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The Maintenance Planner – Fleet works closely with the Fleet Manager, Lead Technicians, Automotive Technicians, equipment users, Materials Control/Warehouse, Procurement, and other departments to ensure maintenance activities are properly planned and executed with minimal disruption to operations. The role supports the diverse fleet required for plant and cane-hauling operations, including trucks, tractors, forklifts, payloaders, light vehicles, and other specialized mobile equipment.
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all assigned fleet vehicles and mobile equipment based on mileage, operating hours, manufacturer recommendations, equipment condition, and operational requirements
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, milling, and off-season maintenance plans and schedules
Create, review, plan, schedule, and monitor maintenance work orders through the applicable CMMS or fleet management system
Define required manpower, labor hours, spare parts, materials, tools, equipment, and external services needed for planned maintenance activities
Monitor the maintenance status, availability, and readiness of vehicles and mobile equipment required for operations
Track equipment downtime, repair turnaround time, breakdown frequency, maintenance backlog, and schedule compliance
Determine spare parts, consumables, tools, services, and other requirements for planned maintenance activities
Maintain accurate and updated equipment master data, preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, maintenance histories, and other Fleet maintenance records in the CMMS
Prepare regular reports and dashboards on Fleet maintenance performance and monitor key indicators
Monitor maintenance costs and resource utilization against maintenance plans and approved budgets
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field
Relevant experience in maintenance planning, fleet maintenance, automotive maintenance, equipment management, or industrial maintenance
Working knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, automotive systems, heavy equipment, and maintenance planning principles
Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, work order management, and preventive maintenance systems
Proficiency in CMMS, SAP maintenance modules, fleet management systems, or similar maintenance applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret Fleet and maintenance data
Strong planning, scheduling, prioritization, and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to coordinate effectively with Fleet operations, maintenance personnel, equipment users, Materials Control/Warehouse, Procurement, and other stakeholders
Working knowledge of occupational safety requirements applicable to vehicles, heavy equipment, and maintenance operations
