Job summary

Agri Exim Global Philippines Inc. is seeking a Shift Engineer for our Engineering & Maintenance Department. The role leads maintenance activities, ensures equipment reliability, and minimizes downtime through proper supervision and resource allocation.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in mechanical or electrical engineering, has 1–3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, and is familiar with GMP and maintenance planning systems. Prior manufacturing exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Supervisory experience in manufacturing/maintenance.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance execution.
• Knowledge of equipment reliability and downtime management.
• Knowledge of GMP in manufacturing.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with maintenance planning systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive maintenance tasks with planner and production supervisors.

• Conduct pre-maintenance cascade and post-maintenance review with planner and production team.

About the role

The Shift Engineer leads the execution of maintenance activities under the Engineering & Maintenance Department, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The role holder is accountable for maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe and efficient operations through proper resource allocation and supervision of maintenance personnel. This is a supervisory, office/factory-based position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of preventive maintenance tasks in collaboration with the maintenance planner and production supervisors
• Support production targets through efficient equipment performance and manage efficient use of resources and facilities
• Check the availability and allocate resources (manning, utilities, and materials) needed for the execution of maintenance activities
• Conduct pre-maintenance cascade and post-maintenance review and evaluation with the maintenance planner and production team
• Accept and review work orders and requests to fix from production; coordinate with end users for clarifications and provide feedback on status
• Schedule mechanics, fabricators, welders, and maintenance helpers for shift assignments
• Conduct coaching and counseling to employees aligned with company policies
• Supervise mechanics, fabricators, welders, lubmen, and maintenance helpers to ensure all maintenance and repair tasks are carried out in accordance with standard procedures

About you

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any related engineering field
• 1–3 years of working experience in a related role
• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing/maintenance environment
• Knowledge of Preventive and corrective maintenance execution
• Knowledge of Equipment reliability and downtime management
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Experience in the Manufacturing industry preferred
• Experience with maintenance planning systems (good to have)
• Familiarity with continuous improvement practices (good to have)
